It is really important that the council are aware of local people's views as they consider the application. Supporting the application only takes a minute:

Send an email to [email protected] - you will need to include the application reference number (PLAN/2020/0568) and your name and address for your comments to be counted.

Feel free to write as much, or as little, as you like. These are the key reasons why we think the application should be supported:

The development will a create a new, pedestrianised green space in xxxxxxxx, providing important outdoor space and a place for people to relax and socialise.

The plans will deliver 965 new homes for xxxxx, including much-needed affordable and family housing. 

New, flexible spaces at ground floor level can be used as shops/cafes or community space, helping to create jobs and drive footfall in this part of xxxxx.

The scheme includes a new, purpose-built facility for the xxxxx Project, designed in collaboration with the charity.

xxxx Railway Athletic Club will also be provided with new replacement facilities.

Car parking, including electric vehicle charging points, will be provided in line with council guidelines. 

Improved cycle routes will be provided, along with 1,118 cycle parking spaces.

The development has been designed to complement Victoria Square and provide improved links for pedestrians and cyclists from the town centre to the west of xxxx.
